The Flavors of Autumn

The heat continues, but for me, that doesn’t matter. I’ve put aside the summer…it’s time for Fall to arrive. To get in the spirit of my favorite season, I’ve already started decorating my house with pumpkins and gourds, and even some Halloween decor. I know, I know, it’s over a month away, but at least I’m not having Yuletide thoughts yet…now THAT would be extreme.

Regardless of the heat, the days are getting shorter, the leaves are changing color (at least the trees remember that it’s mid-September), and my mind has turned to all those wonderful things that epitomize the cooler season: the sights, the smells, and, of course, the tastes of Autumn. As the earth makes its journey around the sun, the color of light seems to change in the Fall; it illuminates the world with a softer golden hue. All of the colors in nature seem so much more vibrant, not washed out by the previously beating summer sun. My internal calendar starts craving the typical flavors of the Fall, which are as vibrant in flavor as they are in color. These include apple and cranberry desserts, pumpkin, squash and corn dishes, and spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom. Any tea with these added flavors are wonderful as well. Obviously, I love tea all year round, but there’s just something so deliciously cozy about drinking a hot cup of spiced tea on a crisp Fall morning.… Ahh…bliss…

Anyway…

Anxious for Fall to arrive, I have been making preparations for Loose Lady Tea Co. as well. Over the last several weeks, I have been on the hunt for the tastiest seasonal flavors and holiday-inspired teas. Playing mad tea scientist is always so much fun, and I’ve been taste-testing sample after sample, until I believe I’ve found the perfect combination of ingredients for each tea blend. I can’t wait until y’all start trying the newest teas to the Loose Lady Lineup!

…and sweater weather…I really can’t wait for sweater weather.

So here they are, Ladies…our Seasonal Flavors…get them while they’re hot (or iced – you do you)! But seriously, they’re only around for a limited time and in limited quantities!
